When you love what you do, you never go to work!
Hello, my name is Laura Morledge. I am a Montana Licensed Massage Therapist #5872, Trained in Swedish and Deep Tissue, Lympatic, a Certified Arvigo® Practitioner of the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy®, Arvigo® Advanced Pregnancy Practitioner, Pre and Peri-Natal Massage Specialist – Carol Osborn Group. An International Loving Touch Foundation’s Certified Infant Massage Instructor, and a Reiki III practitioner, trained in Usui tradition by Vicka Lanier and a Theta trained practitioner by Dr. David Flaten, Sacred Lomi training by Tom Coohran, and Cranio Sacral – Upledger.
In the early 1980s, I received massage training from a wonderful man who was in his eighties. He had practiced massage therapy for his entire life. Back then, massage therapists mentored with a master and then moved on into their own business. This man emphasized the fluidity of the body and the use of acupressure with massage. I enjoyed giving massage and continued to massage family and friends, but never sought out an exam or a certificate. In 2012, I decided to go back to massage school and become certified, so that I could combine the Reiki and Theta that I had learned along the way with the healing power of touch. I graduated from the Yellowstone Institute of Massage Therapy in 2013, with a 600-hour certification. My educational focus was on anatomy & physiology, therapeutic massage techniques, ethical responsibilities, sanitation guidelines and business mastery.
As a Certified Arvigo® Advanced Pregnancy Practitioner and Certified Prenatal and Perinatal Massage Therapist Specialist, I bring comprehensive pregnancy knowledge and a nurturing touch to ensure an exceptional maternity massage experience.
I strive to help the body recognize where it needs to do its work, instead of trying to force my will upon it. I use touch, warming massage, prayer, Reiki and Theta to help the body move itself back into a perfect state of fluidity.
On a personal level, I embrace a holistic lifestyle by keeping my body fit and my mind active and engaged, practicing daily yoga, hiking, running, swimming and cycling. I feel learning is a lifelong process, so I am continually expanding my knowledge base for massage, yoga and healthy living. I live with my loving husband, Karl and Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Happy. Together we enjoy our four children and seven grandchildren.
As a Registered Yoga Teacher 500hrRYT, 200-E-RYT, Kundalini Yoga Level 1, with 375hrs extra hours of LifeForce Yoga training and 20hr of Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, I strive to bring happiness, peace and joy to the body, mind and spirit with not only the asanas – postures/movement of yoga, but also meditation, Bija sounds – seed sounds, Pranayama – breath, Chanting – singing, Sankalpa – intention, Bhavana – meaningful images, and Yoga Nidra – yogic sleep, a form of meditative self-inquiry.
Policies:
Consent for Treatment:
If I experience any pain or discomfort during the session, I will immediately inform the practitioner so that the pressure and/or stroke may be adjusted to my level of comfort. Because bodywork/massage should not be performed under certain medical conditions, I affirm that I have stated all my known medical conditions and answered all questions honestly. I agree to keep the practitioner updated as to any changes in my medical profile and understand that there shall be no liability on the practitioner’s part should I fail to do so. Any information exchanged during a massage session is confidential and is only used to provide you with the best health care services. I also understand that any illicit or sexually suggestive remarks or advances made by me will result in immediate termination of the session, and I will be liable for payment of the scheduled appointment.
Cancellation Policy
I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In my desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:
Special note for pregnant woman: Please ask your partner to add to their list of “Things to do if you should go into labor”, to please text me and let me know the baby is coming (406) 794-9519. I then celebrate your birth and take the time off with no charge to you.
Otherwise, 24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment.
If you are unable to give 24 hours advance notice you will be charged 50% appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
No-shows
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
Rejuvenate your body, mind and spirit with a relaxing massage in this healing environment.
